Prof. Gabriel Lodewijks visited our university and our Lab. from Oct. 12 to Oct. 18, 2013.

He has communicated with the students of our Lab deeply, especially listened to three PhD students' presentations and discussed with them about there possible research fields and potential difficults. He encouraged them to face those so-called issues and try to model then simply. He clearly expressed his interests in the Lab's researches on Internet of Things and Logistics, and made a plan to cooperstively apply a EU-project in the near future, and jointly supervise PhD students.

During his trip, He has been employed as our visiting professor and will visit our university 1 or 2 times per year. He also gave 3 lectures including, Intelligent Logistic Control of Modern Transport Systems, and Simulation based Operational Control of Bulk Terminals.

teaching. The dean carries out the mandate of the Executive Board regarding staff and financial management of the faculty.
He got his Ph.D. at the Section of Transport Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Technology, Delft, The Netherlands in 1996.
